Up I-75 from Cheboygan

Let's be straight: Cheboygan has places to wash a normal basket of clothes, and a 35-minute drive isn't how you should do a Tuesday load. This page is about the other kind of laundry.
The cottage country between Cheboygan and the bridge — Mullett Lake, Burt Lake, Black Lake, the rentals along US-23 — produces a very specific pile every season: closing-weekend bedding. Every bed stripped, mattress pads, the blankets nobody remembers washing, the comforter from the bunk room. At home that's a full day of back-to-back cycles. In our Dexter Maxi Load machines it's one or two, side by side, done in an afternoon — with dryers big enough that the comforter actually dries instead of coming out damp-cornered.
Same math for end-of-trip camping loads, hunting-camp bedding in the fall, and hosting weekends that left you with more towels than a small motel. If you'd rather not touch any of it, leave the pile at the counter for wash & fold by the pound and collect it folded.
Speed Queen and Dexter front-loaders from standard size up to Maxi Load, top-loaders, and enough dryers that you're not queueing behind someone's five towels. Machines take quarters; there's a soap vending machine if you forgot detergent at the cabin, snack and pop machines, folding counters, and chairs for the wait — though downtown St. Ignace's waterfront boardwalk is two blocks away and better company than a dryer window.
Two things worth stacking onto the same trip: dry cleaning drop-off (bring it up, pick it up cleaned on your next run) and, if you own a rental cottage you turn over for guests, our commercial linen service — sheets and towels by the pound with pickup and delivery, scheduled around your changeover days.
Hours are the quiet advantage: every day, 6 AM to 11:45 PM. A closing-weekend Sunday evening load is fine. So is a 7 AM start that has you back at the lake by ten.
North on I-75 or up US-23 along the Huron shore, over the Mackinac Bridge, first St. Ignace exit. About 25 miles.
